The Ixa Table Lamp offers an elegantly balanced aesthetic with a spherical lamp head supported by a slim, angled stem. The sphere attaches to the base magnetically, allowing it to be freely rotated to aim light precisely where it is needed. Ixa's integrated LED light source can be controlled with the built-in dimmer switch on the lamp head, and excess cord can be hidden with the base. With its flexibility and timelessly simple silhouette, the Ixa Table Lamp can be repurposed and reinterpreted to fill a variety of functions.

Norman Foster, born 1935 in Manchester, received his training at Manchester University's School of Architecture and City Planning, and at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
Beginning in 1963 Foster worked in partnership with Richard and Su Rogers and his wife, Wendy Foster, in a firm called Team 4. In 1967 he established his own firm called Foster Associates (later Foster + Partners).
Foster's earliest works explored the idea of a technologically advanced shed, meaning a structure surrounded by a lightweight shell or envelope.
