The Spiro Wood Veneer Pendant, designed Remedios Simon, is a nod to the genre of op art developed in the 1960's as an artistic style that used geometric shapes to generate optical illusions. Spiro is a charismatic pendant whose frame contains a mass of irregular wood veneer spirals within a matching wood veneer shell. Available with 0-10V or TRIAC dimmable driver (dimmer sold separately).

About Remedios Simón
Remedios Simon is a Spanish designer whose training in Fine Arts at Valencia laid the groundwork for her sculptural sensibility. She draws inspiration from form, texture, volume, and the spatial play between light and material. Transitioning from sculpture into lighting design, she is best known for the Spiro pendant developed for LZF, where thin wooden laminates spiral around an inner core to create a warm, dynamic glow. Simon's work blends poetic gesture with functional restraint, inviting material exploration while maintaining clarity of purpose.
