The Rami Chandelier takes its name from the word ramiform, meaning branch-shaped, a clear reference to the chandelier's unique glass structure. The branching frame is made of transparent glass tubes capped with satin white glass globes for a delicate, ethereal expression. Wires are visible through the clear glass which creates an intriguing juxtaposition of technological elements and nature-inspired shapes.

About Defne Koz
Born at Ankara in 1964, Defne Koz's design style shows clear indications of the contemporary Milan school (a graduate and later teacher at the Domus Academy, Koz worked with Sottsass in the 1990s), mixed with simple but evocative hints of the Middle East. The combination of her Italian and Turkish cultures is apparent in her works. Her work is not limited to just lighting, as she has had experience in metalworks, glassworks, plasticworks and ceramics. In ceramics she, like with the rest of her work, sought to revive her Turkish culture through the use of a Turkish style of ceramics known as Iznik. This way, Koz has made it her life's work to not only design functional pieces of artwork, but to also revive lost aspects of her culture, making her work quite unique.
