The Cicala Pendant is an elegant, modern fixture that offers a twist on the classic dome-shaped design. The painted aluminum dome is open at both the top and bottom with an acrylic diffuser covering the interior of the shade to provide softly diffused lighting. Cicala's simple shape allows it effortlessly blend in to a variety of decor styles.

About Emiliana Martinelli
Emiliana Martinelli (b. 1949) is a designer, art director, and president of Italian lighting company Martinelli Luce. Martinelli studied ceramics at the Istituto d'Arte in Lucca, Italy and industrial design at ISIA in Florence. Upon graduation, Martinelli entered the family business started by her grandfather Plinio and continued by her father Elio. Martinelli's long collaboration with her father helped shape the artistic direction of Martinelli Luce. In addition to her work as an award-winning designer, Martinelli also serves as president of the company.
