This large cantilevered lamp takes its inspiration from the mast arrangements of classic sailing boats. The simple, two-dimensional silhouette relies on the tense electrical cable for support. Jamie McLellan graduated with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Design in 1999 and since has been designing everything from footwear to striking fixtures for manufacturers around the world. Before opening his own practice in 2006, McLellan was a Senior Designer for Tom Dixon.
Today, McLellan spends time in New York and Auckland, New Zealand where he works with talented teams of designers and manufacturers to develop unique products that transform interiors. His clients include both start-ups and highly established brands alike. These diverse relationships make McLellan's seemingly small practice a productive and successful one.
