The Bloom Pendant is inspired by the gentle dynamic flow of paper lanterns, resulting in transparency and light. Two contrasting materials, a finely perforated mesh core and frosted blown glass, combine to project a soft focus texture onto the inside of the shade. At the same time, an unobstructed pool of light is projected downwards onto objects below. Bloom's distinct character is evident both in its on and off state, creating a versatile piece. Available with a White or Textured Black shade and a Black cord in two sizes. 4.17 inch diameter canopy in Black finish. UL and CE listed.

We loved this at first sight (and did not see the YouTube video with the designer, linked on this page by lightology). Like many, we thought the globes were a pleated glass to create the gorgeous visual effect. That ribbing/fluting is a design element elsewhere in our space and these were a nice compliment for that reason.What we realized upon receiving is that the globes are just smooth frosted glass, and the aesthetic feature only takes shape when the pendant is turned on. They do look lovely when on, so we leave them on A LOT to maintain this effect. The good news is with these LED bulbs, running them 24/7 would only cost us around 15 per year, but it's still not ideal. If you're fine with the plain frosted globe when turned off, then these won't disappoint, but it would have been nice to see a decent sized photo in the mix of sales photos that showed the light when turned off.
