Hard to install and wrong information about d
I had bought 6 of these light for our home. Quality of the light fixture was ok but didn't match the price. A little expensive for the quality. The light does look very nice and does achieve the look we wanted.
Real issue with the dimming capability of these light fixtures. I read the cut sheets and bought the '' tested and certified '' dimmers that were in the documentation from Maxim. All the lights arrived and went to installed them and found the dimmers didn't work. Contacted Maxim and was told the documentation was wrong so the tested and certified dimmers actually will not work with these lights. Not the news I wanted to hear after buying and installing 6 dimmers @ $85 each.
This mistake in Maxim documentation cost me a lot of money in dimmers.
Pricy for the quality
We were looking for a bit more contemporary fixture & decided to give this one a try. I was a hit taken aback by the price for such an item. It was relatively easy to install and use. The fabric shade isn't exactly easy to keep clean when it's on the ceiling. I'd definitely recommend dusting/vacuuming it off regularly otherwise I could see it getting dingy pretty quickly. Overall, I'm not sure I'd make this purchase again but it does the job for now.
Well made fixture.
This fixture is very well made. It was very easy to install. It looks very modern and puts out a lot of light. I will be changing all my flush mounted fixtures to this because it adds a very modern look.
What a difference!
My home was built in the mid-80's and they weren't particularly concerned with lighting or temperature control in my master closet (no HVAC vent). So, replacing the tiny little light in a room that gets really hot in the summer with an LED fixture seemed like a great idea.
This may have been a little larger than I needed, but I'm thrilled with the result! It's like I've got a small version of the sun shining in there when the light is on, without any extra heat being generated. Of course, it's much more fashionable than the old light I had, too, so now I may have to update the rest of my closet:-). I have to admit that I waivered between 4 and 5 stars because the installation was a little more challenging than I expected. For starters, the insert tells you to carefully read through the instructions, but there are only a series of pictures - and they really only show the parts and address putting the actual fixture together and not how to install, so while light fixture replacement is a relatively easy home update, I wouldn't try to do it for the first time based on these pics. Also, when I installed the crossbar, either I bent it when I was screwing it on, or it came that way. Be very careful with that, as attaching the fixture is already challenging if the screws are straight, and they will definitely be angled if the crossbar is bent. Also, it would have been nice if the screws used to attach the fixture had been a tiny bit longer. The hardest part of this install was lining up the fixture with the two screws that extended down from the crossbar, as they just had a tiny bit to attach the ball nuts to. Lastly, if you just glance at the directions like I did (because it was minimal), you might miss that you have to attach the outer cloth shade to the fixture BEFORE you attach the body of the fixture to the ceiling. If you don't, you're pretty much put in the position to take the entire thing down and start over. Again, though, I couldn't be happier with the lighting and appearance of the final product!
pretty
This light fixture fits perfectly flush with my ceiling, which I love. The addition of a textured fabric ring makes it seem very upscale. Because of its size it did require two people to install it, but it went up fairly easily.
Beautiful
This prime flush mount light fixture is so beautiful. It will literally go with any decor whether rustic or modern or contemporary. It doesn't matter, it will look wonderful. Lights up the space beautifully as well. Very easy to install, only took myself about 45 minutes. I definitely recommend. A quality light fixture
Looks okay on ceiling.
It took a little while to connect this but others my be able to connect it quicker. It looked pretty good. It was not overly spectacular but just plain but elegant in it's own way. It looked fairly nice in contrast to the room. The lighting was soft but very good. Pretty happy with it.
Adds instant style!
It is amazing how such a simple change can totally transform a space. This light was extremely easy to install and it has instantly added so much class and style into my hallway. The linen is very high quality and the color compliments any design aesthetic. The light itself fills the space with light without being too soft or overwhelming. Great light for a much needed facelift!
Easy to install with nice look
I got this light to replace a boring single bulb fixture in a hallway, it's amazing what a nice looking fixture can do to transform a space! I am very happy with the look of the fixture and the amount of light it provides for my small space, overall a lovely little facelift!
Love it
We're updating a tiny 550 sf condo that had an ugly light fixture that hung over the counter and stove. We replaced it with this fixture and it looks soooo much better. The fixture gives off a decent amount of light. My father installed the fixture and complained but I think the complaints had more to do with the existing wiring being corroded rather than the fixture itself. I like this fixture so much I'm thinking about buying one to install over the sink.
perfect little glam
i just love this flush mount drum light fixture. the drum shade is linen white and has a filter around the bottom so you dont see the light bulb. this fixture is perfect for a powder bathroom center light to add more wattage and not take away from the vanity sconces. it also works great in a bedroom.

We received out Prime Flush Mount light by Maxim Lighting and what a beautiful addition to any room its is..We installed ours in our breakfast knook and now its the the favorite place for homework to crafts..lol Its so bright !!!
The size looks so grand and the shade!! who would of thought just makes the light a stunning piece .
Installation was very quick and easy also..We were up and using in bout 30 minutes.Its a new conversation piece for sure..

Beautiful fixture
The fixture itself is beautiful. Clean lines, beautiful pale gray drum - it looks stunning in my bedroom. It was easy and quick to install. The only issue is the lights themselves. The bulbs are LED and the lifting is harsh with a slight blue/gray tint - very much like a office hallway lighting. The bulbs are integrated into the fixture so they can't be swapped out. I am going to move the fixture to a hallway because the lighting doesn't work for our bedroom but I don't want to give up such a good looking fixture.
Stunning Light
This light is beautiful. It is sleek and modern. It can be used in almost any room. The light was very easy to install with easy to understand instructions. I would get this light again next time I need a new light fixture for my house.
Classic!
This prime flush mount light is a simple and classic design element. It has a linen cover so best used in bedroom and living room situations. It installs easily and looks great! A very good choice that will coordinate with all types of interiors.
Modern and understated
I bought six of these fixtures to update the 70s-looking fixtures in my house, and I absolutely love them. It's amazing how something so seemingly insignificant can change the look of an entire space. They look clean, modern, and understated, and the built in LED feature is great.

Excellent light and easy to install
I bought this and three other similar Maxim lights for the hallways a month ago. Wanted a matching, but larger version for this room. Lightweight and easy to install. Plenty of light for laundry room and I like the cloth outer ring - goes well with white cabinets and trim.

Beautiful streamline look and lovely light
Updating my '50's Mid Century Ranch and had to redo a ceiling from water damage. The electrician recommended updating the ceiling light fixtures as the old ones weren't particularly safe or efficient. This light provides just the right amount of coverage and brightness I needed for a family den space. Love it! And the price point is good, too. The plastic lens was cracked when I got it but customer service was awesome and I had a new one in just a few day.
Great look
I bought this a few months ago and am very pleased. Installation was a bit painful and took longer than expected. The ivory linen shade is simple and beautiful, is best with a dimmer and it's a good quality fixture.
