The BIG-Shorty Uplight/Spotlight yields BIG illumination in a shorty profile. The BIG-shorty offers a 90 degree adjustable floor lamp. Finish in Satin Nickel, Black or White. Features an integral 12 volt plug-in LED driver with soft start short circuit and overload protection. Class 2, 10 watt max. Input: 120VAC, 0.6A 50/60Hz. Output: 12VAC, 0.08A Max. One 12 volt, GU5.3 MR16 LED bulb up to 8 watts is required, but not included. Consult bulb manufacturer for dimmer compatibility with electronic low voltage (ELV) power supply. UL listed. Required bulb and optional optical accessories sold separately.

Answer
If you have a low voltage electronic type dimmer tied to the outlet this is plugged into, then you can dim it using a dimmable LED bulb.

The company experts recommended two different bulbs to accomplish the desired coverage I needed for a fine piece of art. Both bulbs were extremely too bright. No return policy on bulbs that were expensive! The spotlight cast a strange shadow and wasn't good for what I was trying to highlight. I got a return authorization that would refund the light cost less the shipping cost with no mention that the light had to be in it's original packaging. The light was received by Lightology unharmed and they would only offer a 50 credit to my account. I won't be shopping with Lightology in the future. Poor Service!
