About Ward Wijnant
Experimenting with materials is the name of Dutch designer Ward Wijnant's game. Wijnant developed his furniture making techniques and broad material knowledge while studying at Tilburg Univeristy, and further evolved his creative process studying conceptual thinking at the Design Academy Eindhoven. With this experience under his belt, Wijnant opened his own company in 2015, aiming to create objects that tell a story and pay homage to the origins of craftsmanship.
Ward Wijnant's ultimate mission is to interpret methods and materials of the past and place them in a contemporary field that pays attention to the utmost detail. Inspired by the construction of traditionally made objects, Wijnant's artisanal approach embodies a particular aesthetic. An aesthetic that shows how the materials, and the way in which they are processed, influence the shape.

Moooi first presented her innovative collection, under creative direction of Marcel Wanders, at the Salone del Mobile in Milano, April 2001. Since then a lot has happened. Moooi has started a cooperation with some of the absolutely greatest international creative people like, Ross Lovegrove, Li Edelkoort, Erwin Olaf, Joep van Lieshout and Jurgen Bey.
