Excellent for South Florida humidity and sunl

Excellent fixture for corrosive environments like South Florida. I used this fixture to replace an aluminum metal fixture that corroded in the South Florida hot humid environment. The location is near the coast but 1 mile from the beach. The real problem is the constant UV rays from the sunlight beating down on the fixture each and every day. Any metal fixture simply isn't going to last that's why you need to purchase this fixture and install it properly and be glad that you did. The fixture mounting bracket unfortunately had to be modified because the designers did not account for a single gang standard electrical box being installed in a concrete stucco wall back in 1973. This is unfortunate because they thought of practically everything else EXCEPT that. I had to drill a hole in the metal bracket using a special bit for drilling into metal. Beyond that installation was not difficult at all. The wiring is simple. The bulb is included and is a twist lock LED. It is someone unique so make sure you keep the box of make a note of the bulb type. I'm not dimming it but I assume it's dimmable since it's an LED but you'll need to research that first. The fixture shines straight down and is fairly bright. I did this on purpose because the house is right next to the neighbor with practically zero lot lines so I didn't want to be blasting light straight into their windows. That's just mean and rude. This light is high quality it certainly better be if it's over $100. You get what you pay for. This fixture will last and even if it doesn't they stand behind their product and that peace of mind is exactly what you are paying for. Be sure to install silicone caulk around the fixture to ensure water does not enter the fixture and ruin the electrical box and associated connections this is very important I assume the two side screws are stainless or at least rust resistant. I absolutely used stainless screws and washers to mount the fixture plate to the electrical box. Don't over-tighten you can accidentally bend the metal.

What a nice addition to the front of our garage! Modern looking and the projected above and below the fixture really adds to the ambiance on the front of the house!!
