Designed by Cristina CelestinoRead Bio
The Luminora Pendant blends the contrasting elements of geometric precision with dazzling aesthetics to create a piece that is both minimalist and luxurious. The pendant's spherical form is composed of textured polycarbonate tubes lined with LED light sources, creating a luminous structure with a sculptural presence. The polycarbonate's V-shaped indentations and torsion effect recall the look of Murano glass; however, Luminora eschews baroque ornamentation for a refined, contemporary aesthetic. Dimmable with 0-10V dimmer or the Moooi Wireless Wall Switch, sold separately.

About Cristina Celestino
Celestino was born in 1980 in Pordenone, a small town in the Veneto province. She graduated from the School of Architecture at IUAV University of Venice in 2005 and started working as an interior and furniture designer.
In 2009, she moved to Milan, a city whose art, architecture and history offer her constant inspiration. Since 2013, she runs her own design studio, in addition to her brand Design Attico. Cristina Celestino collaborates with brands from all over Italy and Europe. Her designs always reflect the unique heritage and character of these companies. She starts every collaboration with in-depth research into materials and production techniques so that the final products are elevated by surfaces and textures that add interest and warmth to a space.
In the past, she has collaborated with Fendi Casa, Billiani, CC-Tapis, Seletti and many other Italian and international brands while also creating spaces and installations for Milan Design Week, including a lush retro-interior for a tram in 2018.
As a designer and architect, Cristina Celestino works on projects for private clients and companies. She has also taken on the Creative Direction for terracotta tile producer Fornace Brioni.
Her contributions to the design world have been recognised by many international prizes and awards, including the Special Jury Prize in the Salone del Mobile.Milano Awards (2016). She's also repeatedly won the Elle Deco International Design Award in the category Wallcovering.

Moooi has started a cooperation with some of the absolutely greatest international creative people like, Ross Lovegrove, Li Edelkoort, Erwin Olaf, Joep van Lieshout and Jurgen Bey. It is Moooi's challenge to positively influence the lives of all people it touches with her work, to be an inspiration to many and to grow out to be a legendary company in the international design arena.
