The Oru Pendant is an original interpretation of metal. Metal shades are generally symmetric, but Oru is not. The distinctive side cut-out allows the shade to be bent and fixed in its new form. The result is a lampshade that appears to have a typical symmetrical shape when seen from an angle, but when viewed from another, the hole and slim organic shape can be noticed. The designers wanted to pay tribute to the art of metal bending and produced a lampshade design that celebrates the artisan trade with automatic scalability for the switch to mass production.
