About Andrea Anastasio
After completing his studies in philosophy, Andrea Anastasio embarked upon a cultural path that led him to cooperate on projects entailing the cataloguing of Islamic architecture in India, research on innovation in traditional craftsmanship techniques, partnerships with architectural practices, publishers and museums.
Fascinated by the study of the poetics of conceptual art and its potential convergences with industrial design, Anastasio designs furniture and objects for Italian companies that play a leading role on the international scene. His research focuses on the manipulation of objects, consumer goods and domestic materials, to generate cross-contaminations of languages and meanings.

Foscarini lighting was founded in 1981 with the belief that light is the vibrancy of energy and soul. Openly exploring the possibilities of Murano glass, there are table, floor, and ceiling fixtures each uniquely produced by over 20 designers. Foscarini lighting fixtures, including O-Space, Uto Light, and Big Bang, are available in satin-finished glass, polyethylene, wood and aluminum, or an exclusive textured glass-tissue. Foscarini is a place where ideas are transformed into a tangible reality, created with the intent of "lighting up the rooms of your life."
