The Malayan Floor Lamp rises like a temple spire on a mountainside in a faraway land and has the elemental flair that gives master woodworkers bragging rights. The fluted body is made of rubber wood. The tall, thin linen shade placed atop this composition from the Phyllis Morris Collection makes it all the more commanding. The dual pull-chains on/off switches are delicately sized to keep this design elegant.

Phyllis Morris was one of the first designers and manufacturers to embrace Hollywood Regency. During the avant-garde mid-century modern era that birthed a long list of design-industry superstars, she opened her first showroom dedicated to lighting in 1953. By the 1960's, Phyllis turned heads in the design community and was dubbed "The Marilyn Monroe of the furniture industry." Today, her daughter Jamie Adler keeps her mother's memory and unforgettable style alive through the Phyllis Morris brand.

Originally founded in 1988 as a purveyor of historic garden furnishings, Atlanta-based Currey & Company is known today for its stunning and diverse array of lighting products. Contemporary and transitional chandeliers and wall sconces are the company's most popular items, characterized by the meticulous attention to detail that goes into their manufacturing and finishing.
Although hand forged iron has long been Currey & Company's specialty, the lighting collection has extended to include a variety of materials such as brass, porcelain and hand-carved wood.
