I ordered the white fan with white blades, along with the optional wall control. There are many things to like about the fan:
1. Very modern and classy design.
2. Handheld remote control included.
3. Very light weight.
4. The 56" blades move quite a lot of air.
5. Reversible.
6. DC motor - some folks may be unfamiliar with DC motors, but this is something you'll love once you start using it.
Some not so good things:
1. The installation instructions have few errors. I am pretty experiences in hanging fans, so I was able to install this fan easily without much trouble.
2. The blades need to be installed prior to hanging the fan. This is quite opposite to most fans, but is necessary due to the way the blades are designed.
3. The handheld remote, as well the optional wall control use 23AE batteries, which may not be commonly available at your local store when replacements are needed.
4. The wall control is hardwired and at the same time uses a 23AE battery. Without the battery, it won't work. Since it is hardwired, I would have preferred it to draw power from the line, not from the battery.
Overall, I am happy with the fan and it complements my modern living room very well.
