Designed by Norm ArchitectsRead Bio
Inspired by the modernist architecture and the unobstructed repetitive building techniques known from the mid century, the Chicago cabinet collection stands as a tribute to this particular architectural period. With its light and floating appearance the Chicago Glass Doors Sideboard almost appears as a piece of modern architecture itself. The elevated solid steel construction gives stability and structure while the floating wooden cabinet adds the spatial impression. The Marquina Silestone tabletop, functioning as a floating roof with its extended eaves, completes the minimalistic framework combining three simple natural materials; wood, steel and stone.
Inside of the glass doors sits an LED strip. The internal lighting can switch on / off when one door is opened / closed, or when it is movement activated with the foot from the underneath of the sideboard metal frame.

About Norm Architects
Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen focuses on shape and tactility. Kasper Ronn concentrates on technology and inventions. Together they are Norm Architects, founded with the aim of blending their complementary interests to produce furniture and architecture in keeping with the Scandinavian norms of simplicity, gracefulness, craftsmanship and timelessness.
Kasper is very much into the technical part of it, and I am very much into the aesthetical part of it, says Bjerre-Poulsen. But in reality, we assist each other in all aspects of the design process. They also share a passion for finding that exact point where nothing can be added or taken away to make a product better.
Based in Copenhagen, Ronn and Bjerre-Poulsen work as architects on commercial and residential projects and as designers on a wide range of products including dinnerware, kitchenware, lighting fixtures and even jewelry. Whatever the pursuit, they pride themselves on celebrating their culture and history and aspire to create new norms of Nordic design.

Punt Mobles was founded as a passion project in 1980 by Vicent Martinez and Lola Castello. It has grown over the years to become an award winning design company, but they have never lost their passion for design and craftsmanship. Punt offers high-quality structural pieces with at know-how experience that is reflected in every piece.
