Is this light suitable for outdoor installation? Under a covered porch?

This fixture is damp but not wet rated so we would not recommend in an area that is exposed to the elements.

Frustrating to install

The lamp is attractive and well-suited to more of a spot installation, but due to the shade does not cast light horizontally well. It also does not accept all candelabra bulbs, as the "flicker" detail on some bulbs makes the overall bulb length too long to fit in the globe. The biggest issue though, was installation, with a needlessly complex mount that was a hassle to deal with. Be warned that you may need an extra set of hands available to install.
