Great construction, terrible light quality
I credit this luminaire with educating me about color rendering of LEDs. The luminaire is well-constructed of high-quality materials, and the LED driver was high quality and fairly quiet when connected to a neutral-wired reverse-phase Lutron Sunnata Pro dimmer. However, the light quality drained all the life and vibrance from the room. My decor scheme includes saturated reds, oranges, greens, and wood grain. An ET2 representative said the CRI was based on the standard color set (8 swatches), and I could not get information about the R9 strong red value. I can only guess that R9 was low for this CRI 80 luminaire. Not acceptable for the price paid. I returned this and purchased a competing brand with CRI 90+ and now only purchase from companies willing to provide R9 data or who use the newer TM-30 standard. In short, if your color scheme is pastels or neutrals, you may not notice the color rendering, but if you have strong reds, oranges, or wood finishes, you will be uncomfortable with your new zombie decor. It's a shame because the design and construction are great.
