Elevate Interiors with the Vertigo Collection by Petite Friture

Designed by Constance Guisset for French design house Petite Friture, the Vertigo Collection is a celebrated icon of modern graphic lighting. Known as a den-like canopy or floating hat light, Vertigo features a lightweight fiberglass frame strung with flexible polyurethane ribbons. The ultra-light structure sways gently with subtle air currents, projecting dynamic lines of light and shadow across surrounding walls and ceilings. Serving as a striking centerpiece that defines room dimensions without visually weighing down the space, Vertigo is ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, dining spaces, and grand hotel lounges.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Petite Friture Vertigo light move on its own?
Yes, due to its ultra-lightweight fiberglass and ribbon design, the fixture moves slowly and subtly in response to natural air currents within a room.

What is the difference between Vertigo and Vertigo Nova?
The classic Vertigo Pendant utilizes an exposed bulb socket within the ribbon framework, while Vertigo Nova replaces the open socket with an integrated LED module encased in a hand-blown opal glass sphere.

Can Vertigo pendants be installed on low ceilings?
While the Large Vertigo features a wide 78-inch span, its shallow vertical height and field-adjustable suspension cable allow it to be installed comfortably in rooms with standard or low ceiling heights.
