The La Che Side Table honors the beautiful traditional weaving craft of Colombia. Sebastian Herkner designed the collection after visiting Colombia and studying the weaving techniques of the local artisans. The name La Che is a reference to the Laches, an indigenous Colombian people, who used a method with the same name to create baskets.

About Sebastian Herkner
Sebastian was born in 1981 in Bad Mergentheim. He studied product design at the Hfg Offenbach am Main (Offenbach University of Art and Design). He focused during his studies on object and furniture design, merging various cultural contexts and combining new technologies with traditional craftsmanship in order to highlight the multifaceted beauty of the materials and draw renewed attention to small details.
His intuition for materials, colors, textures and surfaces has made him a sought-after collaborator working with many international design brands. He's also known for his interior designs and creating unique exhibition spaces. His contributions to contemporary design have been honored with numerous prizes, including the IF Award, the Elle Deco International Design Award and Maison et Objet's Designer of the Year' in 2019.

Ames Vibrant Living is a collaboration between contemporary designers and local Columbian artists. Ames offers vibrant pieces that will elevate any contemporary space. Founder Ana Maria Calderon Kayser was inspired by her childhood in Columbia where she was surrounded by beautiful landscapes, colors, and textures. Her goal is to spread the Columbian joie de vivre all around the world. Ames keeps old traditions alive while also creating jobs with fair wages in Columbia. Each collection is made by hand in family-owned workshops.
