While many objects are designed with function in mind before form, Lars Tornoe reversed this process when creating the stylish Coil Coat Rack. Tornoe was experimenting with shapes by folding paper when he realized that the curling shape of rolled-up paper could be combined with hooks to create a wall-mounted coat rack. The hooks can be slid along the length of the rack to best suit the user's needs.
