The Corbel Shelf was designed to address the changing workplace of today's world, where increasingly more common home offices require a functional storage surface that will also complement the home's decor. The shelf takes both its name and design cues from the architectural feature of the corbel, a piece of wood or stone that juts out from the wall to support a structure above it. Here, the wall-mounted corbels support a rectangular shelf in oak veneer or marble to provide a stylish but practical home office solution.

The studio is based in Copenhagen and specializes in furniture, product, and interior design. Saetter-Lassen and Kroyer met while studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. They share a common interest in honest and functional design that is inspired by Danish design heritage.
