The Dragon Suspended Sculpture was inspired by the dragon, a powerful symbol often linked to creation stories in Chinese mythology. While it is crafted from rigid cast brass at a foundry in Tuscany, it possesses a flowing, organic form that evokes the natural elements of earth and water. While it will certainly grab attention with its bold silhouette, designer Dodo Arslan also considered the way it could be used to redefine a space by equipping it with suspension cables that allow it to hang from the ceiling. Dragon is particularly impactful when lit from above by a downlight to cast an intricate pattern of shadows across the room.
