Both decorative and functional, the Chiocciola 11 Floor Lamp will add a stylish contemporary accent to any room while offering an array of versatile features. The lamp's telescoping stem can be raised or lowered to adjust its height and inclined forward to aim the light. A vertical joint on the cylindrical lamp head allows for further adjustability to aim the light for reading or other tasks. Chiocciola is anchored by a circular base in walnut and white marble, contrasting the sleek minimalism of the stem and shade with luxurious materials. Foot dimmer switch located on cord.

About Ahlux
Ahlux is the design studio founded by Augusto Grillo (b. 1954). Drawing upon his experience as the manager of Panasonic's European research center, Grillo explores the connections between aesthetics, technology, and functionality in his designs. From 1993 to 2001, Grillo worked as the Managing Director of VillaTosca Design Management Centre, a company which developed innovative methods in various phases of design, from trend research to product design. In the second half of the 1990s, he frequently collaborated with Lumen Center Italia, where he experimented with new light sources. Grillo is currently Visiting Professor at TAMA University of Art and Design in Tokyo.
