The Emi Floor Lamp features a triangular aluminum shade which directs light both upwards and downwards to create a dramatic display of light. The lamp is fitted with an anti-glare optical unit to reduce unpleasant glare and provide professional quality, comfortable lighting for domestic or hospitality use. The uplight and downlight can be independently dimmed using buttons located on the lamp's stem. Emi's shade is supported by a triangular, cast iron stem and base, completing the look with a repeated motif.

About Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec

Brothers and designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec have been working together for over fifteen years. Bonded by diligence and challenged by their distinct personalities, the brothers have explored the designs with their unique approach to the industrial world.. Their Paris based studio houses a number of art-driven minds that specializes in small objects as jewellery to spatial arrangements and architecture, from craftsmanship to industrial scale, from drawings to videos and photography.

The Bouroullec portfolio includes a range of illustrious collaborations with studios such as Artek, Alessi, Axor Hansgrohe, Cappellini, Established & Sons, Flos, Hay, Kettal, Kvadrat, Kartell, Glas Italia, Ligne Roset, Magis, Iittala, Mattiazzi, Mutina, Nani Marquina, Samsung and Vitra.

FLOS was founded in 1962. The very same year FLOS lighting began producing a number of lamps that were to become classics in Italian industrial design. From the very outset, FLOS has been distinguished by its high quality approach to lamp design and production. Many of the numerous lamps designed for FLOS are undoubtedly some of the best-known and most successful products of industrial design. They have won awards and historical-critical accolades, and are included in all the most important collections and design museums around the world.Some significant product examples over the last forty years are: Parentesi (1970), Brera (1992), Fucsia (1996), Rosy Angelis (1994), the Romeo Moon (1996), Archimoon (1998) series and the recent Diabolo (1998).
