Inspired by a trip by designer Alvaro Siza to East Timor in an area of a Portuguese colony in East Asia known as Timor Loro Sae, Lorosae denotes the place where the sun rises. Through the translucent glass in a variety of colors, the Lorosae portable lamp is a rechargeable, battery-powered design that spreads a diffused light.
Min/max battery life: 5/15 hours. 4.5 hour charge time. Equipped with a USB-C socket with cable included. Onboard touch dimmer.

About Alvaro Siza
Born June 35, 1933 in the Portuguese port town of Matosinhos, Alvaro Siza grew up to be one of the most influential and famous acclaimed architectural designers of the 20 and 21st centuries. Siza attended the University of Porto and before his graduation had already begun his extensive career as an architect, designing four houses built in his hometown. Siza furthered his work in architectural design by continuing to design buildings and also working as college professor of design at his alma mater as well as the University of Bogata, the University of Pennsylvania, and Harvard University.
Siza's works attempt to combine human living with the beauty of nature, making sure that nature does not go unnoticed. His works are designed to compliment their surroundings, rather than try to overpower the awesome landscape, through the use of neutral colors and shapes that mimic those of the current surroundings. His magnificent works have not gone unnoticed, having been awarded the Pritzker Prize in 1999, the Royal Gold Medal for Architecture in 2009, and countless other awards.
Using his architectural genius, Siza moved into the field of lighting. In lighting, Siza once again made his fixtures not try to overshadow the existing landscape but compliment the existing beauty of a room. Supported by a decades long career in design, Siza's wide array of wall and floor lamps are perfect to enhance the beauty of any room.
