The Haussman Wall Sconce draws inspiration from Georges-Eugne Haussmann's urban renewal of Paris in the 1800s. Haussman's style was defined by symmetrical facades, steep mansard roofs, and decorative details with classical motifs. The wall sconce was created as a deconstruction of this iconic style, with the pleated brass shade recalling the look of a column or ornate molding seen in Haussmann-style buildings. In addition to providing a decorative texture, the brass shade shields light from the integrated LED light source to produce a warm, indirect glow.
