Super quality lights
These lamps are well made and the style I've been looking for. Nice and bright with two 60 watt equivalent bulbs. 40 watt would do fine.
Water gets inside but they claim that's fine?
Spent 5 years thinking I needed new lights for my posts. They were at least 20 years old and just needed to go. Picked these up after a lot of looking and confirming they were the best to fit my posts. Installed super easy but did come with damaged glass (annoying because the company sent me the wrong parts for it and had to wait another week to get the second installed) and very well built. I was changing the bulbs last week and noticed a lot of water building up inside the top. I had never gotten water in my other lights for all that time so I sent a chat to customer service (who was pretty lackluster as well) and they claimed to have sent it over the engineering for details. Well I got an email back with this very long explanation about how it was going to happen and is normal operation and nothing to worry about. We shall see if that is the case and I don't have damaged lights by the end of the brutal winter in New England. They claim there shouldn't be rust or damaged but I'll have to report back. $500 worth of lights should be nice and water tight I would think but who knows...it's 2021 after all and anything can happen.
Perfect accent
Replaced an old mission style fixture with this one. Nice accent to my Dutch colonial home
