What is the difference between the 5W and 7W options?
April 9, 2026
Answer
The wattage options refer to the brightness level per foot. The 5W (5 watts per foot) option delivers an efficient, comfortable level of illumination that is perfect for ambient or decorative island lighting. The 7W (7 watts per foot) option provides a much higher lumen output, making it the better choice if the fixture will serve as the primary task light for a workspaces, kitchen prep area, or conference table.
Does this fixture require a special low-voltage dimmer switch?
April 8, 2026
Answer
The fixture includes a universal power supply built into the ceiling canopy that converts your home's 120V power down to a safe 24VDC. It is highly adaptable and can be dimmed using a standard Low Voltage Electronic (ELV) dimmer, a Triac dimmer, or even a 0-10V system. This versatility ensures it will seamlessly integrate with almost any existing modern dimmer switch or home automation system
What does Center Feed mean? Do I need a specific type of electrical box in my ceiling?
April 7, 2026
Answer
Center Feed means that the electrical power travels down from a single, central ceiling canopy to power the entire fixture. It installs directly onto a standard 4-inch square electrical box with a round plaster ring (or an octagon box). This is highly convenient because it uses your existing overhead junction box, eliminating the need to run hidden wiring through the ceiling to multiple suspension points.
