This lights are very pretty and excellent quality. I hired an electrician to install them and I used very attractive industrial style bulbs which show through and look really pretty.

We purchased this unit because it is one of the few corrosion-resistant fixtures on the market. We are only a short distance from the ocean and corrosion is an important concern. This fixture looks great! There are issues with the packing-for-shipment used by the overseas factory. TWO iterations of shipment had damaged glass cylinders. (Boxes were completely intact and undamaged externally but the glass cylinder was found to be cracked.) The third shipment was received intact. (BUT not packed much better than the original two; apparently the shipping company was just more careful.) HINKLEY's overseas manufacturer REALLY needs to utilize packaging capable of absorbing greater g-forces. Another issue may occur depending on how your house is constructed. The mounting screws used by Hinkley have a subtle feature as the external nut is tightened the screw-heads will back down inside the electrical wall box. This is a genius design - so long as the wall box has available DEPTH. One of our fixtures was installed over a zero-depth pancake electrical box. I had to customize the screw length to correctly mount to this fixture. Hinkley does not supply screws of various lengths in their kit. (Normally not required!) Finally the fixture is heavy! If your electrical box is not well fastened to the stud inside the wall reinforce that mounting BEFORE you install the fixture. (Drill a hole in the side of the box and run a big wood screw at an angle into the stud etc.) This is important because the fixture must be held FIRMLY and uniformly against the house so that you can apply sealant (caulking) around the fixture to prevent water ingress. I believe the gotchas that I mention would be of no consequence at all to a professional installer. But to a do it yourself installer they may require some ingenuity (and perhaps multiple trips to the hardware store). But the final product is worth the effort. They look good and seem like they will last.

These lights are a perfect addition to the front of our home. Only issue we found was some of the mounting hardware was missing and we had one broken glove that was replaced pretty quick(probably got broke by the shipping company) they were easy to install.

Living by the ocean I had been searching for a fixture with a coastal vibe at the right scale able to stand up to the salt air and would take a 100 watt equivalent bulb. The quality and style at this price point was perfect. It looks so much better installed than I even expected.

We are adding the lantern by the front door and on the back deck. We have put up the lamp on the back deck and it looks very nice. Easy to access to change bulb. Very convenient.
