The Melt Pendant is obsessed with the idea of creating an imperfect, organic and naturalistic lighting object. Created in collaboration with FRONT, a Swedish design collective, Melt is evocative of molten glass, the interior of a melting glacier, or images of deep space. When turned on, the Bronze, Copper, Gold, Silver, and Smoke shades become a translucent textured color. The Opal shade offers a more traditional look and produces a soft, warm glow. Canopy: 4.9 inch diameter.

While it has the organic appearance of molten glass, the Melt Pendant is actually crafted from high-tech polycarbonate. This material allows for the complex, "melting" shape while being much lighter and more durable than glass. It uses a process called vacuum metallization to achieve its unique metallic finish.

A fixture that has two totally different state of being! When it is on, it mimics a grouping of galaxy dust through its reflected, form-molded inside. When it is off, it is completely opaque.
