About Kenneth and Edmund Ng
Edmund is the co-founder of Koncept Inc., a Southern California based LED lighting manufacturer. Originally from Hong Kong, Edmund immigrated with his family to the US at the age of 11. Edmund earned his Bachelor's degree from UCLA and a graduate degree from Stanford University, where he received his strong engineering background. Growing up with seasoned Industrial designer Peter Ng for 40 years, his father's upbringing has also provided Edmund with a thorough understanding of industrial design and the manufacturing process.
With the required knowledge and family support, Edmund founded Koncept with his brother, Kenneth Ng, in 2002 to bring innovative products to the market with a focus on LED lighting for the residential and commercial sectors. Over the years, Koncept's designs have received numerous accolades and international awards.

With years of experience in manufacturing and industrial design, the founders established Koncept in 2002 to design and develop innovative products for home and business. Koncept's flagship product, the Z-Bar LED desk lamp, has been featured in a number of media including U.S. News & World Report, Samsung's DigitAll Magazine etc. In 2006, it won "Best of Category" in International Design Magazine's 2006 Annual Design Review in the category of Furniture and was selected into Die Neue Sammlung's permanent collection. The Annual Design Review is America's largest design competition, and Die Neue Sammlung is Europe's largest museum of modern everyday objects of exemplary design, comparable only to the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

- Quality: Decent

Hands down one of the most difficult light fixtures we've ever installed. The cloth braided cords do not feed through the undersized holes and many of the cable set screws immediately stripped out. All adjustment needs to be done before installing the final trim as well. (unlike a lot of new fixtures that let you tweak lengths with spring loaded cable grommets). Also disappointed that a two different Lutron ELV dimmers caused constant flashing and resetting of the transformers. Limited list of supported ELV dimmers. We purchased the Sub-6 and the Sub-6 for a project and had the same problems with both. On the plus side, it is a beautiful fixture.
Fulfillment was also SUPER frustrating. Website says 11-15 days from warehouse. Actual shipping time was 5 months+. Contacted Lightology about every 4 weeks or so for an update and Koncept continued to relay out a new expected delivery date another month out with no apology or explanation.
