Totally disagree with the other review- quality is amazing the glass is spectacular
We'll made but...
The fixture is well made but the crystal glass shades are very heavy and there's no set screw to secure the shades to the base - just the weight of the shade. It could topple over if you are not careful. Also the brass finish is really dark and muddy looking.
VERY POOR DESIGN
VERY POOR Design This lamp is beautiful in concept but the worst in practicality. The crystal shades alone weigh about 5 pounds EACH that is almost 11 lbs total; the glass has about a 3-4 mm edge to hold them in and NO knob to secure them in place. The design assumes that your wall will support such weight if not they will pull off the wall. My lamp was intended a the bathroom vanity wall with mirror and when my electrician tried to install it he advised me against putting the crystal instead he recommended I get a different shade or lamp. You run the risk of the crystal falling on your surfaces and cracking the marble quartz vanity toilet or floor tile which can end up being very costly. The design also assumes that no one will ever get near them to clean the or accidentally knocks them off. I called Hinckley and spoke with Customer Service which was futile. They provide no other option for replacing the shade with a lighter one. Their response was to buy another fixture was no better and cost almost $1...HA!. I now I have a fixture with no glass. Not only a waste of time but also money for the cost of the fixture (which needs to be replaced unless I find a glass replacement that isn't so darn heavy) & for the electrician's time.
