In a year of ups and downs, designers explored grandiose shapes, exaggerated scale, earthy ceramics and antique minimalism, ditching the Edison bulbs for globes and returning to artisan roots. Leather and rattan, paper and alabaster brought materiality to the forefront while technologies like Warm Dim and Tunable White became the most sought-after features.
