Gothic Style
When it comes to gothic style and gothic decor, bright colors and stark whites are replaced with matte black and vintage brass. Old Victorian candelabra-inspired chandeliers, damask patterns and prints, worn and tattered finishes, and smokey glass - gothic lighting and gothic design can be stylish without being too themey. A golden skull, black feather pendant, pitch black lamp or aged mercury mirror give a space character, age and surprisingly, charm. Dark colors work great in smaller spaces, like powder rooms, entryways and guest rooms. A touch of black or dark grey can be the perfect juxtaposition to an otherwise white space. It doesn't have to be philosophic, have fun and go gothic!
