Transform your space into a captivating illuminated artwork with the Flos String Light Sphere Pendant, a unique play of lines and light. This striking fixture is composed of a simple yet elegant globe suspended on an exceptionally long Kevlar reinforced coaxial cable. This cable is ingeniously designed to be secured by a separately sold canopy or base, and its extended length, coupled with five included hooks for additional anchor points on the wall or ceiling, unlocks endless possibilities for creating visually impactful geometric configurations. Whether used as a single, radiant sphere or combined with multiple units, it allows you to craft a truly unique and personalized lighting arrangement.

The globe itself is meticulously crafted from durable die-cast aluminum and features a polycarbonate diffuser, ensuring it provides a beautifully ambient illumination for your space. The light comes with a choice of 39 or 72 feet of cable, with optional cables available separately to add even more length. The String Light Sphere offers two advanced dimming options: control via the Casambi App (dim or turn on/off using the Flos Control app on your smart device, or by pressing the cable near the light head) or Soft Touch dimming (dim or turn on/off by pressing the cable on top of the light head). Please note, a base or canopy is required and sold separately, and the light can only be dimmed at the light head or through the Casambi app; it cannot be dimmed using a separate wall dimmer.

      Brand Logo

FLOS was founded in 1962. The very same year FLOS lighting began producing a number of lamps that were to become classics in Italian industrial design. From the very outset, FLOS has been distinguished by its high quality approach to lamp design and production. Many of the numerous lamps designed for FLOS are undoubtedly some of the best-known and most successful products of industrial design. They have won awards and historical-critical accolades, and are included in all the most important collections and design museums around the world. Some significant product examples over the last forty years are: Parentesi (1970), Brera (1992), Fucsia (1996), Rosy Angelis (1994), the Romeo Moon (1996), Archimoon (1998) series and the recent Diabolo (1998). Throughout the nineties the work of Achille Castiglioni and Philippe Starck has been flanked by a series of products from new and other designers. This reflects a desire to keep the attitude to discover the most talented designers to maintain FLOS leadership in innovation.
