The Isola Linear Pendant's natural material and wrought iron frame in a khaki finish and mix of natural water hyacinth and Grass Cloth fabric. Designed by Clarence Mallari, the smaller, taller oval that encircles the light has a rough luxe weave of the water hyacinth; while the wider, shorter oval has a tighter weave that juxtaposes the looser crosshatching on this tan linear pendant. A design detail of note is that the seams match up when the outer shade transitions from straight to curved.

About Clarence Mallari
Clarence Mallari is a senior lighting designer at Currey & Company, where he shapes expressive, finely crafted fixtures rooted in material storytelling and artisanal technique. Mallari leans into the tactile potential of mixed media - braided rope, wrought iron, hand-woven wicker, seeded glass - combining them into forms that feel both organic and rigorously composed. His designs often reference historical - and sometimes whimsical - sources: for example, his Quennell chandelier evokes the seeded glass canisters of classic lanterns, while his Emmental chandelier plays on concentric rings inspired by the look of Swiss cheese.
