    Designed by Adriano RacheleRead Bio

Veli Wall/Ceiling Light, designed by Adriano Rachele, is like a tailor made dress, delicate and romantic. It gently amplifies light through the diffuser. Every individual bend is made of tone-on-tone printed, patented techno polymer. The bends are then collectively and seamlessly fit around a central cap, giving this piece a soft and original feel.

not only is this thing beautiful, it's awesomely convenient. i didn't realize when i ordered it that it's magnetic. So the fixture itself comes on and off the ceiling plate just by taking it off. i've never seen anything like it. very cool.

undeniably beautiful but I was disappointed to find that it's made of plastic and not glass. I'm keeping it but I wish I'd known ahead of time

THis fixtures is GORGEOUS! It's made out of plastic but looks like glass. It doesn't give off a ton of light but that's ok because I picked it as a decorative accent piece, and I have other lights in the room. The photo here just doesn't do it justice.

Born in 1984. After receiving a degree in Industrial Design in 2007, Adriano began his professional career in SLAMP'S Research & Development department, where he continues his success today. Going against the trend of mass-produced items, Adriano Rachele gives each of his pieces the feeling of a single edition while still managing to produce them in series. Rachele believes that design should possess soul, express poetry and emotion that tells a story extending beyond simple forms. This concept comes through in his soft, sinuous designs, whose forms emphasise the unique identity of the brand, and enhance their individual hand-crafted style. His challenge is to create objects which combine technology, functionality and innovation with tradition and emotion, while maintaining their ironic and accessible nature. In 2010, he was recognised as one of the top young talents in Italian design for his Veli project, which won the Red Dot Design Award in 2012.
