The Barro Pendant features a ceramic body and glass shade for a combination of natural materials produced using the traditional methods of Oaxaca, Mexico. Barro's ceramic body is formed from Oaxacan clay fired for nine hours in a wood-fired kiln. After firing, the ceramic is hand-polished with river stones to create a smooth surface. While the process for the Natural finish ends here, the Charcoal finish is attained by firing the ceramic again in a kiln sealed with mud, where the clay absorbs the smoke and takes on its color. Barro's innovative use of traditional processes makes it a timeless beauty that will complement any interior with a rich earthiness.
