About Emiliana Martinelli
Emiliana Martinelli (b. 1949) is a designer, art director, and president of Italian lighting company Martinelli Luce. Martinelli studied ceramics at the Istituto d'Arte in Lucca, Italy and industrial design at ISIA in Florence. Upon graduation, Martinelli entered the family business started by her grandfather Plinio and continued by her father Elio. Martinelli's long collaboration with her father helped shape the artistic direction of Martinelli Luce. In addition to her work as an award-winning designer, Martinelli also serves as president of the company.
