Hat Floor Lamp appears to be a classic-style floor lamp but it is much more than that. The elegant one-piece base supports a supremely functional shade. Because of the original manner in which this shade is mounted, it can easily be swiveled into a new position, turning your downlighter into an uplighter. Available in a Black, White or Gray painted structure with an oversized Black or White shade. One 100 watt, 120 volt A19 medium base bulb is required, but not included. Includes on/off switch on cord. CE listed.

About Alain Monnens
Alain Monnens was born September 23rd 1969 in Bree and graduated with honours as an industrial designer at the media & design academy in Genk.
"I don"t like products with decorations or additions that don"t add anything. My designs aren"t contrived and don"t scream for attention. The key question is: how can I make this easy and simple? How can you create an object that is free of the unnecessary without sacrificing funtionality?" It is this quest that forms the constant in his work. Along with lighting, Monnens also designs bowls and furniture. "You shouldn"t be restricted by products or materials. Designing for different sectors also works as a form of cross-pollination."
