Orbit Wall Sconce

SPEC #: LZF74742

ID: ORB A E26 UL 22

Designed by Miguel HerranzRead Bio

The Orbit Wall Sconce brings a quiet confidence to any space. Crafted by hand, its simple yet elegant form is created by twisting a single piece of wood veneer. Two distinct designs emerge depending on the direction of the twist. Light flows gently from both the top and bottom openings, while a warm inner glow highlights the natural grain of the timber, enhancing its organic beauty.

This is a gorgeous wall light, I can't say enough about it. Stunning really. I purchased a few of these sconces for our apartment, and I have to say they look even better than I'd hoped. Wow.

Brand Logo

Lzf lamps is a small company making very special lights for very special people. Founded at the end of 1994, Lzf has been making handmade lights exclusively out of wood veneer from the beginning. This noble material creates a spectacular lighting effect, projecting the internal beauty of the wood and radiating a delicately warm and attractive atmosphere to both domestic and contract settings. Winner of two Good Design, two Design Plus and one Red Dot prize, LZF has found its place amongst niche market suppliers worldwide.

About Miguel Herranz

Shop This Designer

Since 1994, Valencian designer Miguel Herranz has been working in practically all areas of design: furniture, lighting, car and bathroom design, ceramics, product design, experimentation with technology as well as interior design and exhibition stand design.

According to the designer, his methodology is not having a methodology'. His way of working, he says, is analytical and anarchic I benefit from being in a state of anarchy which stimulates me to be more analytical'.

His career to date has seen him collaborate with very well-known Spanish brands in various sectors: lighting (LZF Lamps, Grupo B-Lux, Blauet), furniture (Viccarbe, Celda Diseo and Concepta) and bathrooms (Novum). He has also overseen the design of exhibitions both in Spain and abroad and has given lectures in schools and design workshops. And, at the same time as working as a designer, he has collaborated with others as a teacher and has sat on the jury of a number of interior design competitions for young designers.

He has won many awards, most notably for his Mikado lamp, manufactured by LZF Lamps, in 2006, the Design Plus prize awarded by the German Design Council, and the Good Design Award given by the Chicago Athenaeum in 2008.
